Layer-by-layer surface modification of rare-earth nanoparticles for theranostics in high-grade serous ovarian cancer

High-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer (HGSOC) is the most common and deadly form of ovarian cancer, responsible for about 70% of ovarian cancer deaths worldwide. It typically presents at an advanced stage, making treatment difficult. Globally, its impact is profound, emphasizing the need for early detection and improved therapeutic strategies. My research is focused on advancing layer-by-layer surface-modified rare-earth nanoparticles, aiming for early diagnosis and targeted treatment of HGSOC. I am also developing innovative fluorescent carbon quantum dots and studying their biological applications, including biosensing, bioimaging, antibacterial activity, and targeted drug delivery.
