Drug delivery of RNAi for improved wound healing

Non-healing wounds impact many patients, including diabetics and those with significant combat-related trauma. RNAi holds tremendous promise in directly addressing the underlying protein expression disturbances that are implicated in poorly healing wounds; however, successfully delivering the RNAi to the wound in a way that enables temporal and spatial control has proved difficult. Adam is researching how to use layer-by-layer technology to better enable sustained delivery of RNAi therapies to poorly healing wounds.
