Layer-by-layer Coated Microneedles for Immunotherapy of Skin Cancer
Micro-scale needle arrays provide a versatile platform for transcutaneous vaccine delivery, by virtue of pain-free disruption of stratum corneum and efficient implantation of therapeutic cargoes. Furthermore, drug-releasing surfaces produced from layer-by-layer assembly could potentially achieve high drug density and well controlled sequential delivery. My research focuses on applying layer-by-layer assembly to generate vaccine-releasing surface on microneedles for skin cancer immunotherapy.
