Microneedle Vaccine Formulation
My research focuses on ways to make vaccines longer-lasting and more effective through improved formulation design. Typically, vaccines require multiple doses spaced over several months to elicit long-lasting protection, presenting challenges associated with patient uptake that are exacerbated in developing countries. My post-doc work centers on using degradable biomaterials to create vaccines that require only one shot to generate protective immunity.
