Co-delivery of Cisplatin and anti-MYB siRNA for the treatment of Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma

The formation of MYB-NFIB fusion genes has been associated with the development of adenoid cystic carcinoma, a rare type of cancer most often occurring in the salivary glands. My research focuses on downregulating this genetic event by RNA interference. siRNA sequences targeting MYB gene have the potential to be incorporated in layer-by-layer nanoparticles in combination with chemotherapeutics currently used for cancer therapy.
