Layer-By-Layer Assembled Wound Dressings Loaded With RNA Therapy For Burn Wounds
Our bodies orchestrate wound healing mechanisms through a variety of localized biochemical signals. Manipulating these signals with RNA therapy allows for influence over the body’s natural healing process, which can be used to treat a variety of wounds that have difficulty healing, such as burns. Layer-by-layer assembly of charged polymers/RNA thin films onto a substrate creates a self-assembled structure that has tunable release dynamics, efficient drug-loading, and localized delivery of our therapy.
