Stimuli-Responsive Nanoparticles for Targeted Drug Delivery
Drug delivery systems based on stimuli-responsive biomaterials have been harnessed for a wide array of clinical applications including the treatment of cancer, inflammation, infection and regenerative medicine. I am interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating the interactions between therapeutic nanoparticles and the biological microenvironment. My current project involves the development of layer-by-layer nanoparticles for the co-delivery of antibiotics and cationic polymer tailored for the treatment of acute lung infection.
